Day 1 - Arrival at Ahmedabad – Little Rann of Kutch (166 Kms / 4 Hrs)
Arrive at Ahmedabad and drive to the Little Rann of Kutch, home to the famous Indian Wild Ass Sanctuary. Enroute, enjoy birdwatching opportunities with flamingos, pelicans, and migratory cranes along the wetlands. In the evening, experience a desert safari to explore the unique wildlife, including desert fox, jackals, and wild ass. Overnight stay at a wildlife resort in Little Rann of Kutch.
Day 2 - Little Rann of Kutch – Bhuj (280 Kms / 6 Hrs)
After breakfast, drive to Bhuj, the cultural capital of Kutch. On arrival, check into your hotel and later explore Aina Mahal, Prag Mahal, and the handicraft hub of Bhujodi Village. In the evening, you may take a short walk to spot migratory birds around Bhuj Lake. Overnight stay at Bhuj.
Day 3 - Bhuj – Banni Grasslands – Hodka – Chhari Dhand Bird Sanctuary (80 Kms / 2 Hrs One Way)
Today, head towards the Banni Grasslands and Hodka Village to experience Kutch’s cultural and natural charm. Continue to Chhari Dhand Wetland Reserve, a paradise for birdwatchers where you can spot species like the Great Indian Bustard, White-naped Tit, flamingos, and pelicans. Return to Bhuj in the evening for overnight stay.
Day 4 - Bhuj – Mandvi Excursion (60 Kms / 1.5 Hrs One Way)
After breakfast, drive to Mandvi, a coastal town known for its royal heritage and birding spots along the creeks. Visit the magnificent Vijay Vilas Palace and relax at Mandvi Beach. Enjoy watching coastal birds and migratory species before returning to Bhuj. Overnight stay at Bhuj.
Day 5 - Bhuj – Jamnagar (310 Kms / 6 Hrs)
Proceed towards Jamnagar, Gujarat’s birdwatching paradise. On arrival, check into your hotel. Visit Lakhota Lake and the world-famous Khijadiya Bird Sanctuary, home to over 300 species of migratory and resident birds. Later, visit Bala Hanuman Temple, renowned for continuous chanting of Ram Dhun. Overnight stay at Jamnagar.
Day 6 - Jamnagar – Gir National Park (200 Kms / 4 Hrs)
After breakfast, drive to Gir National Park, the only natural home of the Asiatic Lion. In the evening, enjoy a nature walk around your lodge or spot birds in the surrounding forests. Overnight stay at Gir.
Day 7 - Gir National Park – Safari Experience
Early morning, embark on a jeep safari inside Gir National Park to witness the Asiatic Lion, leopards, antelopes, and a variety of birdlife like Paradise Flycatcher and Painted Sandgrouse. Later, visit the Devaliya Interpretation Zone and Crocodile Breeding Centre. Overnight stay at Gir.
Day 8 - Gir – Nalsarovar Bird Sanctuary – Ahmedabad (375 Kms / 7 Hrs)
After breakfast, drive to Nalsarovar Bird Sanctuary, one of India’s most important wetlands. Enjoy a peaceful boat ride while spotting flamingos, cranes, pelicans, storks, and migratory birds that make this sanctuary a paradise for bird lovers. Continue to Ahmedabad for overnight stay.
Day 9 - Ahmedabad Departure
After breakfast, proceed for local sightseeing in Ahmedabad if time permits, covering Sabarmati Ashram, Sidi Saiyyed Mosque, and Adalaj Stepwell. Later, transfer to the airport/railway station for your onward journey with beautiful memories of Gujarat’s wildlife and birding adventure.
